Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Floater Member Service Associate who will be responsible for performing routine teller work, provides excellent Member service, and contributes to the success of the branch by selling and referring Credit Union products. As the face of the organization, you serve a critical role by providing exceptional service to all credit union and community members, volunteers, team members, and service providers. Essential Functions Sales & Service • Provide exceptional member service to all Members, volunteers, internal employees, and service providers.
• Explain products and services to Members to meet their needs. Cross-sells RCU, RCU Investment Services, RCU Insurance Services and RCU Auto Services products and services.
• Establish basic products and services for Members.
• Provide information to Members' questions or directs them to the appropriate person or department for assistance.
• Safeguard Member information and ensure confidentiality by following established policy and procedures.
Transactions • Complete Members' transactions accurately and efficiently using established policies and procedures.
• Balance cash, checks, and maintain proper documentation.
Teamwork and Other Functions • Attend and contribute to departmental meetings.
• Perform branch opening and closing duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Complete orders for Credit Union forms and supplies.
• Participate in Credit Union committees.
\n Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to count and balance cash.Ability to effectively cross-sell products and services using a needs-based sales approach.Ability to work a rotating schedule which will include working on rotating Saturdays.Ability to learn new products, services, procedures, technology and concepts.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.Ability and desire to work in a team environment.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Knowledge of basic math principles.Knowledge of basic financial institution products and services.Skilled in the operation of office equipment including personal computers with Internet and intranet access. Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent standing or sitting at a workstation. FloatingA Floater Member Service Associate who under general supervision, will primarily be employed to cover designated branch locations in the event of a staffing crisis that results from employee illnesses, medical leaves, resignations/terminations, or other operational needs.Additional requirements when assigned to specifically designated Floater position(s):Ability to travel frequently from branch location to branch location.Ability to maintain a valid California Driver's License and/or flexibility with transportation to provide Floater support to changing locations as assigned.
\nThe ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, and at least six months experience in retail sales and cash handling experience.
Compensation: base starting range $22.00 to $27.00 per hour commensurate with experience. (This position qualifies for a 5% Floater Differential in additional to the base pay) Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
