Focus Factory Cell Leader (2nd Shift/Powder Coating Paint Area)We are seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor – 2nd shift with experience driving improvement in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Responsibilities of this salaried position include:Supervises 20-30 hourly employees in a distribution center environmentDrives safety, quality, and productivity performance in accordance with Lean principles, standard work, and customer requirementsDetermines daily manpower and work assignments for employees to adjust for fluctuations in demandApproves payroll, administers corrective action and discipline as neededMay be scheduled on shifts and weekends without additional management supportAbility to work 2nd shift M-F (3:00pm - 11:30pm)Qualified Applicants will have:At least 3 to 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably high volume and cellularHigh School diploma or equivalent; Technical or Bachelors' Degree is preferredMinimum of 2 years previous supervisory experience in a production settingExperience with Lean principles and exposure to Kaizen and continuous improvement events is preferredExperience in problem solving, communication and conflict resolutionHigh degree of comfort with computer usageAble to read, write and speak EnglishPreferred: conversational SpanishAble to stand 10-12 hours per day, lift, push, pull up to 40 pounds frequentlyAble to see, hear and comprehend in a noisy environmentAble to tolerate temperature ranges of 40 - 90 degrees FAble to work other shifts and/or weekend hoursTravel Requirements1-20%Physical RequirementsWe value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
