Job Summary This position will support Minnesota's value-added food and beverage companies and has a strategic focus on market development and product promotion. The position will plan and execute domestic marketing events and trade shows, process cost share and other program documentation, manage a customer resource management database and other software for marketing programs, and provide business development assistance to Minnesota food and beverage processors.
This position is located in St. Paul and may have the ability to telework. Additionally, the incumbent must be available for reasonable travel, including some overnight stays and weekend events.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications To facilitate proper years of service crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, agricultural education, agricultural marketing, business administration/management, public administration or related field
OR
One year experience in food or agricultural products promotion, marketing, or management.
Additional required experience includes:
Experience planning and implementing events such as educational conferences and trade shows. Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally, including speaking publicly to a diverse clientele. Experience using SalesForce or other closely related customer resource management (CRM) software. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record subject to review. The ability to celebrate diversity and a strong commitment to a respectful and inclusive work environment. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of food and agricultural issues, trends and industry technologies; either through formal training, past work experience or from having an agriculture background.
Ability to write grants and identify opportunities for creative financing of projects.
Experience or coursework in statistics and/or market research.
Experience administering or evaluating surveys.
One year experience working with a consumer-packaged goods company or companies.
