Melbas Tulane in New Orleans, LA is looking for one food service manager to join our 30 person strong team. We are located on 3219 Tulane Ave. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and hard-working. Job Type: Full-time
Company Overview:
Our restaurant group in New Orleans, LA seeks an experienced Restaurant Manager. Our restaurants have provided a unique dining experience to New Orleans through our exceptional service and quality food. Located in the heart of New Orleans, our innovative recipes, and outdoor dining make us traditional New Orleans.
Our ideal candidate will oversee and be responsible for the entire operation of our Restaurant:
- Following our recipes to ensure the highest food quality
- Managing
- Training of new employees
- Maintaining an inventory system
- Ordering
- Cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant
Job Qualification:
-High school graduate
-Proof of progressive and successful management is required
-The candidate must display a track record of excellence, dependability, honesty and integrity
-All applicants must have a clean criminal record and a background check will be required
-Minimum 3 years experience in a high volume, fast-paced fast causal restaurant or entertainment venue
-Proficient in point of sales systems (REVELsystems)
-Superb communication skills
-Must be able to attain Food Safety Certification and city management license
-Must be flexible to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
-Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Job Requirements:
Our Manager will be responsible for providing high-quality service through effective staff training, creating a motivated teamwork environment, and having a "lead by example" attitude. Including, but not limited to the following:
Responsible for day-to-day operations including scheduling and guest satisfaction. Able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations. Must have a complete understanding of front-of-house, back-of-house, and bar operations, as well as the costs associated with each department. Ability to create inventory and quality control standards for food and beverage departments.
Self-starter: potential extra income through the booking of large groups (30+), corporate parties and catering events. Candidate will ensure daily that the store is open 24 hours and staffed appropriately, inventory levels are appropriate and equipment is working properly. Supports and enriches working relationships with partners, landlords, and the community.
