As a Foreman carpenter with Gardner, you are raising the bar high and setting the platinum standard of excellence.
Responsibilities:
Ensure tools and materials are onsite for carpenters prior to commencing work Lead by example, set the pace Quality Control Construct, erect, install and repair various structures and fixtures using hand and power tools Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props using hand tools and various fasteners or fastener materials Build, repair or install door frames, doors, cabinets, paneling, millwork, hardware etc. using hand and power tools Bring proper hand tools for the job Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment Utilize proper PPE and safety equipment at all times Wear job-appropriate clothing and maintain a professional appearance Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions Proactive mindset with the ability to envision all steps in assigned tasks Ability to execute tasks efficiently Strong communication skills with the ability to correspond in an effective and professional manner using written or verbal communication Ability to work in a team environment Ability to use a smartphone efficiently Required Qualifications:
Carpenter Foreman experience within Comercial Finish Carpentry At least 10 years as a Union Carpenter (preference is Finish Carpentry) OSHA-10 certification Benefits and Company Perks:

Physical Demands:
You will be required to safely walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, see and hear. You must be able to safely operate a variety of machinery and equipment including but not limited to table saws, drill presses, hammers, saws, planers, ladders, tape measures, etc. You will be required to regularly execute repetitive movements. You will be required to regularly lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs). You will be required to climb and maneuver on ladders, scaffolding, and/or in tight spaces. You will be required to sustain physical exertion for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, you may be exposed to outside weather conditions at job sites, including wet and/or humid conditions, cold and heat. For renovation work, hazardous material or conditions may be present in the existing building. Noise level at these sites may be unusually loud at times. Job sites are typically dusty.
