Forging Engineer

The Ameriforge Engineering Department at Industrial Road is in search of an entry level engineer that has the drive to expand their knowledge and experience as a Forging Engineer. This position is accountable for development, design, and evaluation of complex mechanical components and systems, and to make recommendations for design approaches necessary to meet production requirements for new or improved opportunities for Ameriforge.ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes, develops, and recommends design approaches necessary to meet production requirements for new or improved products and/or processes for multiple facilities.Project management – successfully plan and lead new product introductions to achieve all contractual requirements including delivery targets.Set up and run FEA modeling and interpret and integrate results into efficient forging designs.APQP/Quality and PPAP support.Lead and support Continuous Improvement throughout the organization.Design products necessary to meet customer requirements for new or improved products and/or processes.Researches and identifies the applications, performance, and functional requirements to assure adequacy for the intended product in customer acceptable terms.Assists in the development of drawings, quotations, and tooling.Reviews and approves internal drawings and specifications.Follows company policies and procedures.Maintains a safe and healthy work environment. Proactively participates in the Ameriforge Safety ProgramOther duties as assigned.
