Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. Key Responsibilities: Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.May be assigned work in sub-zero freezer area with proper company PPE provided.Additional Responsibilities: Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.Performs other similar or related duties as assigned.This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $19.33 to $29.67.

For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit starts at 10 days per year, adjusted commensurate with relevant experience, and 7 days of sick leave per year (9 in Seattle), accrued bi-weekly. Commuter and transit programs are also available.
Minimum Requirements: Three to six months experience driving forklifts.Must be forklift certified, or able to become forklift certified. Must be able to qualify for lift truck certification within 2 weeks.Preferred Qualifications: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee moves objects:
regularly up to 10 poundsfrequently up to 25 poundsoccasionally up to 50 pounds.This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
