Description
90% - Material Handling:
•
Loads and unloads trailers.
•
Determines placement of product and transports to designated area.
•
Positions lifting device under or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports loads to a designated area.
Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
•
Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to identify product to be moved.
Reviews customer orders and determines product location.
•
Attaches identifying tag(s) or label(s) to materials or marks pertinent information on cases, bales, or other containers.
•
Counts and records number of material units moved or handled on daily production sheet.
•
Completes a daily job card to accurately record job codes, order numbers, and time keeping.
•
Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
•
Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
•
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
•
Operates hand held scanners (RF Equipment), computer systems (WMS), and may manually input additional data as required.
•
Replaces propane tanks, recharges electric batteries, and changes batteries using battery crane.
5% - Communication:
•
Communicates internally with warehouse, office, and management personnel.
•
Communicates observations on the floor such as product damage, safety or food safety concerns, housekeeping issues, etc., to management.
•
Maintains self-composure in stressful circumstances.
5% - Safety:
•
Completes daily forklift inspection sheet for every forklift used.
•
Follows general safety practices and procedures including proper use of PPE, and timely reporting of accidents, incidents, or safety concerns.
