This position comes with a company vehicle, gas card, and phone and will service the greater Jeffersonville, IN or Clarksville, IN area. The schedule is Monday- Friday 7a-4p with some overtime as needed. Position Overview Reporting to the branch Service Manager, the Lift Truck Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting lift truck service call issues and performing repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment based upon customer demands as directed by the service dispatcher or manager. This position must also promote service maintenance programs and the company in general, and provide high quality service to ensure an optimal customer experience. Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Diagnose faulty equipment and apply knowledge of functional operation of unit and systems to identify the extent and cause of malfunctionPerform scheduled maintenance efficiently and effectively, in line with company procedures.Maintain records of all service work and repairs performed in line with company procedure. Turn in paperwork in a timely fashion, ensuring accuracy and legibilityWork with service dispatcher and manager to maximize labor revenue and efficiency within the work schedule while accounting for 100% of work timeBe flexible with your work schedule to take care of Raymond Storage Concepts, Inc. customer's needs and also to be able to receive ongoing on-the-job training and coachingMaintain company supplied service van and uniforms in a clean and organized fashion as well as maintaining an accurate inventory of tools and partsMaintain a current and clean driving record. Drive safely and efficiently from point to point in service areaOperate a lift truck for testing and demonstrations, in line with correct operation instructionsCommunicate and work with the Parts and Sales departments to insure the customer's needs are being met, and immediately report any potential customer issues that need to be addressedMaintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
