Founding Engineer (Contract-To-Hire) (4+ Years Exp)

The Role Our client is funded by notable investors and industry leaders and is building innovative software to address labor shortages in a rapidly growing sector within the logistics space.
Responsibilities: Oversee the entire product development process, from concept to completion, with a focus on API-first architecture.Collaborate closely with the CEO in Los Angeles to develop a new B2B SaaS platform.Lead the product development, manage an engineering team as the product scales, and take substantial ownership based on impact.Engage in extensive experimentation and respond to customer feedback to refine the product. Experience We're Looking For: 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.Proven experience in building software with an API-first approach.A strong preference for solving problems with elegant code rather than relying on off-the-shelf developer tools.Proficiency in a production environment using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.Expertise in architecting and maintaining relational database systems like PostgreSQL.Skill in writing resilient unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with various frameworks.In-depth knowledge of at least one public cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Familiarity with continuous integration platforms such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
