We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant with hands-on experience in both front and back office responsibilities.
Experience in gastroenterology is preferred.
The ideal candidate will contribute to a smooth patient experience and support our healthcare team in delivering high-quality care.
*FRONT OFFICE*
* Front desk reception, answer phones and schedule appointments
* Greets patients and assist with signing in
* Files and maintains medical and financial records
* Verify insurance eligibility
* Process outside referrals and authorizations
* Performs other position related duties as assigned
* Calls in prescriptions to the pharmacy
* Uses communication skills with appropriate medical terminology
* Follows appropriate legal and ethical professional conduct
*BACK OFFICE*
* Measures and records vital signs, patient medical history and chief complaints
* Prepares patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests
* Assists physician with exams and other procedures
* Phlebotomy, collection of lab specimens, perform basic lab tests
* Prepares and administers medications and injections with physician authorization
* Maintains supplies, equipment, stocks and sterilizes instruments
* Prep rooms for patient care
*Qualifications and Skills:*
* MA Certified
* CPR Certified
* BLS Certified
* Gastroenterology experience is a plus
* 2-3 years MA experience
* Bilingual in Spanish

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
