The Front Desk Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and organized environment for customers and employees. They are the first point of contact for anyone seeking in-person IT support and are responsible for managing administrative tasks efficiently.
Greeting and Reception: Welcome service customers with a friendly demeanor. Answer phone calls, transfer calls, and take messages as needed. Maintain a tidy and professional reception area. Administrative Support: Handle incoming and outgoing IT assets, components, and documentation. Schedule appointments and manage tech support bookings. Assist with basic administrative tasks (filing, data entry, updating documents, etc.). Communication: Communicate effectively with internal staff and external parties. Provide information about the organization, services, processes, and policies. Security and Access Control: Monitor access to the help desk, ensuring only authorized individuals enter. Maintain help desk employee in/out board status. Problem Solving: Address technical inquiries, resolve minor issues, and direct urgent matters to the appropriate personnel. Handle emergencies calmly and efficiently. Organization and Coordination: Maintain office supplies inventory and reorder as necessary. Coordinate with other departments for seamless operations. Holds active Secret clearance (or able to obtain one) High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certification is a plus). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
