Do you have the organizational skills to keep professionals on track as they move to both on-site and off-site meetings?Sylvan Learning Center is seeking an Front Desk Coordinator for approximately 15-25 hours a week. Sylvan has been helping students succeed for over 45 years and you will be the first impression for the many prospective customers and teachers who call or visit our Greenville location. You will ensure these prospects are comfortable, relaxed, and ready to engage!This job is great for:Empty-nesters/retireesCollege students learning the ropes of education, marketing, sales, and customer serviceMoms who left the professional world and want to re-enter on a part-time basisResponsible high schoolers who enjoy working with parents and kids of all agesAnyone wanting to keep themselves busy while having funTypical Hours:Monday-Thursday afternoons, as early as 1:45pm and as late as 7:30 pmMost Saturdays as early as 8am to as late as 2pm (not all Saturdays, but most)Occasional events, varying from an all-day to just morning, afternoon, or eveningResponsible for day-to-day administrative admissions tasks such as:Phone receptionData entryScheduling and rescheduling appointments via call and/or textTaking paymentsOutbound call campaignsFiling and center organizationCenter supply management and inventorying as neededPrepping instructional floor for studentsPossible addition of proctoring for assessmentsCenter cleaning as neededOther administrative tasks as assignedKnowledge preferred:Experience using full suite of Microsoft Office applications and other standard business applicationsKnowledge of general office equipment such as copiers, printers, and office phonesSkills and Abilities Required:A constant smile with professional appearance, outgoing and approachable personalityEnthusiastic, welcoming demeanor, strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skillsEnjoys working with children and teensStrong computer data entry skills, willingness to learn operations softwareCreative and effective writing skills; Ability to proofread and edit copyVery strong organizational skills; Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexibleAbility to work well under pressure, maintain confidentiality and react to change productively while handling other essential tasks as assignedAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to ten poundsBe part of a cohesive team that values student success and customer care! Depending on experience and prior training, the Hourly rate will start at $10.00 to $11.50 (experience dependent) with pay increases for on-the-job training and performance.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
