Position Summary
Multiple temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant positions are available. Serves as a Learning Commons student assistant for the front desk - the connection, communication, and clerical hub of services and operations.A cover letter and resume are required for full consideration. Start Date
Position available on or after January 20, 2025 and ending on or before May 31, 2024. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Job Description/Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
Greets guests and route to the appropriate department/staff.
Assist with filing and tracking using paper and electronic systems
Assist with running errands to other buildings/departments.
Assist with data entry.
Assist with answering phones, emails and routing inquires to the appropriate staff in a professional manner.
Assists with referring students to other campus and community resources.
Assist with logistics for meetings, outreach and events.
Assists with development of marketing materials and social media connections.
Communicates and works with teams to complete projects.
Assist students in scheduling appointments and responding to inquires using our learning center management platform, StanTutor.
Monitor and assist with any questions asked.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
Salary Range
$16.50 - $18.50 per hour ($16.50 per hour is the starting pay rate for new employees)
