As aTechnology Development(TD)MaterialsSourcing Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you willbe responsible forthe development, alignment, and execution ofshort-rangeandlong-rangeProcurement strategies which enableMicron's technology roadmap requirements.
In this role, you will lead the development and implementation ofmaterialssourcing and selection events related toall technology development process areas.You will conduct negotiations forevaluation samples as well asstrategicpricingusing should cost modeling and other analytical techniques to drive the negotiation process.
Partner with cross-functional teams to enable Micron to meettechnology requirements byensuring vendor materials capabilities roadmaps are aligned to support. This also includes negotiation forinitialmaterialscost structure, ensuring quality standards, andcontinuity in supply chain.
Role Responsibilities & Tasks
Facilitate Technical Collaboration with Partners
Understand technical market landscape and supplier capabilities and roadmaps
Facilitate co-development activities, and technical roadmap collaboration with suppliers
Coordinate withinternal EHSS and vendorsafetycompliance
Develop andManageMaterialsProcurement Sourcing Strategies through partner input, communication,performance monitoringandexecution
Source and Select Suppliers to Meet Technical and Cost Requirements??
Align customersinput andstrategic sourcing goals
Drive sourcing requirements and supplierselectionthrough decision matrix in support of technology development, cost reduction, and quality improvement efforts???
Assess commercial viability ofmaterialsuppliers
Partner with customers to assess Supply Chain risk for new sources
Providematerialanalysis toenable bestsourcing decisions. Suppliersmust meet theneeds ofMicronTDcustomers, including Total Cost of Ownership, quality,performanceandsupply continuityrequirements
Initiate and negotiate contracts to completion for new suppliers
Understandnew technologyrequirementsand ensure supply is capable of meeting future requirements
Coordinate Forecast Projections associated withnew technologydeployment
Build and Maintain Strong Supplier and Business Relationships?
Interact with Micron and Supplier executivesto ensure that Micron technology needs are understood.
Ensure that theappropriate levelof confidentiality is in use when interacting with suppliersregardingtechnical roadmap requirements
Support MicronNewSupplier Qualification Process
Partner with customers to segment suppliers and setting strategic goals based on technical capabilities
Lead the Organization through the Alternate Sourcing Decision Process
Work withinternalcustomers to define, buildconsensusandidentifysecond sourceopportunities
Ensure recommended alternate suppliers meet all Supply Chain Risk and Business Continuity criteria
Education
Required:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experiencein one or more of the following:
ChemicalEngineering, Materials Science
Semiconductor related process development
Other related field of study
Experience
