Our flagship product, the Character foundation model, launched in late June and garnered national attention, landing us on the top of Reddit (multiple times!) and Twitter. In early October we released Character-2, which has already produced highly creative and viral content.

Summary:As our frontend engineer, you will build a next-generation interface for controllable generative video generation. The systems you design and implement will determine the moment-to-moment responsiveness of the software, and with it the enjoyment and productivity of our users.
You will work with passionate engineers and top researchers to build a truly disruptive and novel technology. We're looking for full-time hires, ideally you will join us at our office in San Francisco or New York.
Job Requirements:Experience:3+ years of professional Typescript and React.Greenfielded or contributed foundationally to a performant video editor.Experience working with RESTful APIs.Nice to Haves:Experience with webcodecs or ffmpeg.wasm.Tailwind and Next.js proficiency.Experience with web authorization/authentication.Personality:Self-motivated and independent — able to set accurate timelines for development and deliver on them.
