The Grill Cook is responsible for coordinating and executing the preparation of our guests' meals, following Fuddruckers specifications and procedures, in a timely manner. The Cook must have extensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients and promotions.
Requirements Minimum 6 months prior cooking experience in the restaurant industryMinimum of 18 years of ageAbility to speak, read and write using a minimal amount of the English languageBe able to withstand the pressures of working in close quarters, standing for hours at a time, working near hot grills and deep fryersMust possess excellent guest service and verbal communication skillsMust maintain a positive and upbeat attitudeProfessional appearance required (see uniform standards)Ability to multitaskMust be a team player with a high since of urgencyAbility to handle stress appropriatelyAbility to cross train in other areas as neededProblem solver that has the ability to adapt and overcomeActivities include, but are not limited to, walking or standing for 6 to 8 hours at a time, reaching, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, talking, and sittingDuties involve the coordination of manual and visual dexterityQUALIFICATIONS:
A successful applicant must have the following:
*2+ years experience in the food industry
*Knowledge of safe food handling practices and the ability to pass food safety exams and/or trainings;
*Must have a team player attitude, dependable, reliable and respectable; exemplify leadership qualities and professionalism with excellent customer service skills.
*Physical Demands: Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 20 pounds or more.
