We are currently searching for a Fuel and Lube Service Technician who performs the daily fueling and greasing of all equipment and supports the Field Service Technicians with performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
This position will fuel all equipment, grease all fittings that require eight-hour greasing, top off all fluids according to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standard, assist with Preventative Maintenance as needed, fill fluids as requested by Technicians, and document all fluids daily to monitor inventory levels.
Core Responsibilities: Maintain a safe and clean work environment.Fuel and grease all equipment daily.Diagnose and repair company assets, maintain repair order documentation and assist other maintenance personnel when required.Document repair operations and time tracking in accordance with company policies.Request parts required as necessary.Ensure service trucks are kept clean, organized, and maintained properly and ready for use at all times.Immediately report any safety violations and correct unsafe acts or conditions.Perform technical inspections and document findings.Perform Preventive Maintenance operations when required.Drop oil and change filters.Change air filters and cabin air filters.Provides coolant analysis using proper procedures.Provide hub service using proper procedures.Checks power steering fluid.Apply grease to top side locations per guidelines.Perform air pressure checks and adjust air pressure.Inspect wiper blades and inform customer of defects found.Properly identify different lubes and the application in which they are used. Qualifications & Requirements: One year of related medium or heavy truck driving experience and/or specialized trainingMust possess own tools or willing to purchase toolsMust be cleared by the Safety Department to perform Hazmat dutiesExcellent heavy truck driving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to independently operate commercial motor vehiclesAbility to perform math functionsAbility to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, in order to understand highway traffic signals in the English language, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records Preferred Qualifications: Formal diesel/heavy equipment trainingASE Certifications in Diesel AutomotiveJohn Deere training certificatesCaterpillar training certificatesCase training certificationsMine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) certified Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hireRecord of safe driving for the last five years as shown on current MVR, with no serious accidents or traffic violationsValid Medical Card or the ability to obtain one Compensation: Pay ranges from $18/hr to $21/hr.We are hiring for a couple of shifts.
The evening shift has a $2/hr differential.Full benefits package
