Job SummaryGW Hospital is seeking a highly flexible and experienced Full-Time Critical Care Float Pool RN to join our Central Float Pool.
This role offers the unique opportunity to work across three critical care environments: ED, ICU, and PACU.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled and adaptable RN, comfortable working in fast-paced, high-acuity settings with varying patient populations.
The Float Pool RN will play a critical role in ensuring that each unit is adequately staffed with competent nurses, providing high-quality patient care where it's needed most.Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, patient-centered care across the Emergency Department, ICU, and PACU, adapting to the needs of each unit.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients, based on clinical condition and unit-specific protocols.
Respond quickly to changes in patient status, utilizing advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions according to established protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in each unit to deliver coordinated, comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities and interventions.
Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to safety standards and hospital policies.
Serve as a resource to other nurses and staff members, offering guidance and support across the units where you are assigned.
Float to different areas as staffing needs arise, providing seamless transitions and continuity of care for patients.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care setting (ED, ICU, or PACU).
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.
Strong adaptability, clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively in various high-pressure environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to integrate into different units seamlessly.
