We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full-Stack Software Engineer with a passion for the Laravel ecosystem.
Reporting to the Director of Digital Operations, you will be a key player in shaping MDG's technological future.

At MDG, we are revolutionizing the multi-location marketing landscape with our proprietary Laravel-based digital product.
You'll contribute to building high-availability, scalable, and performant solutions that empower multi-location organizations to effectively reach and engage their target audiences.
Your work will directly impact the success of our clients and shape the future of multi-location marketing.


MDG follows a hybrid work model of Monday/Friday remote and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in our Boca Raton office.
Our scheduled work hours are 9a-6p.

Responsibilities
•Develop and maintain high-quality, performant web applications using PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, and associated technologies, infusing creativity and a passion for exploring new approaches to deliver exceptional user experiences.

•Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Project Managers and Designers, to define, design, and implement innovative features and enhancements that exceed client expectations and drive business results.

•Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through thorough testing, bug fixing, and optimization, constantly seeking ways to improve the user experience and deliver value to our clients.

•Maintain clean, organized, and well-documented code, actively participate in code reviews, and adhere to software engineering best practices, setting an example for the team and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

•Stay ahead of the curve by continuously learning and exploring emerging technologies and trends in web development, actively contributing to MDG's innovation roadmap and maintaining our competitive edge.

•Take ownership of projects from concept to completion, demonstrating a proactive and solution-oriented mindset to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results.

•Inspire other team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.


Requirements
•Possesses a minimum of ten years of experience in full-stack software development, including at least five years of hands-on expertise with Laravel.

•Exceptional talent and extensive experience as a Full-Stack Engineer, showcasing a deep understanding of PHP 8+, Laravel, Vue.js 3.x, TailwindCSS, CSS3, and MySQL/MariaDB.

•Proven track record in building and maintaining large-scale, enterprise-level web applications and platforms.

•Demonstrates exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, challenging the status quo and creatively engineering solutions using unconventional and innovative approaches.

•Thrives in an autonomous environment, capable of independently driving large-scale projects from inception to completion.

•Demonstrates strong initiative in identifying and addressing knowledge gaps, excels at time management and pacing, and thrives in fast-paced environments with limited information.

•Maintains a highly collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork.

•Proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies.

•Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, and RDS) and DigitalOcean, as well as experience with deployment pipelines, Laravel Forge, and basic DevOps practices.

•Strong SQL database management skills and experience in optimizing database performance.

•Adherence to best practices in version control (Git), CI/CD automation, and code quality.

•Proficiency with Composer, npm, and other package management tools, as well as experience integrating external APIs.
