Description TITLE: AL Housing Manager - Eastwood Senior Living
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Assisted Living Operations
Job Summary: The role of the Housing Manager is to ensure that the health and safety of all residents is met through facilities clinical services.
The HM will ensure that that the facility is following current regulations and standards, through organizing, planning, directing, supervising, coordinating and evaluating the facilities clinical services and facility operations.
Must be able to relate professionally with residents, staff and family members, display a positive work attitude and be able to work as a team with other staff members.
May be engaged in direct resident care.
Qualifications: Must be licensed as LALD through BELTSS, or be able to complete required education and obtain licensure.
Must have working knowledge of long- term care services, rules and regulations related to 144 G Assisted Living Licensure.
Must have excellent judgement and decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
The HM must have basic computer skills and the ability to use electronic health records appropriately.
Must have a valid driver's license.
The HM is also required to have an ability to read, write and speak English, and complete and pass a state required background study form which checks for certain criminal convictions or serious/recurring maltreatment.
General Responsibilities and Specifications for Housing Manager: Name and license on file with the MDH licensing division and BELTSS.
Completes admissions in coordination with RN per regulation and ensures up to date signatures are received on required paperwork (service plans, contracts, acknowledgements).
Participates in hiring, onboarding, monitoring of all employees of the facility.
Coordinate practices with HR.
Assures compliance with regulations and is available for licensure surveys.
Assures food service procedures are in compliance with current regulations.
Creates, implements, and directs food program.
Instruct employees in use, care, and maintenance of equipment throughout the facility.
Ensures completion of orientation and on-going supervision of licensed and unlicensed personnel.
Create and monitor staffing schedules.
Worksas a team player with all members of the resident's care team.
Shares resident and family concerns with pertinent staff if appropriate.
Ensures the development of policies and procedures and implementation of them.
Attends/participates in routine staff meetings and trainings.
Workswith staff to assure emergency procedures are in place, practiced, and followed through in the event of an emergency.
Is flexible and willing to expand and adapt to changes in the industry.
Promotes a positive, team approach and a healthy work environment Ability to deal tactfully and use good communication and customer service skills with staff, residents, families, and professional encounters.
Ensures, in conjunction with the CNS, a written staffing plan is in place, that provides an adequate level of direct care staff to meet the current resident needs.
Obtain required education upon hire and annually thereafter to meet regulatory requirements.
Adheres to HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.
Must understand and adhere to all Vulnerable Adult Abuse Prevention Policies.
Must obtain Dementia and Licensure education upon hire and annually there after per current guidelines and regulations.
Other duties as assigned by Regional Assisted Living Director, VP of Assisted Living Operations and/or CEO.
