Full Time Comprehensive Ophthalmologist

Richmond Eye Associates (REA) is a physician-owned private practice group seeking a full time, BC/BE comprehensive ophthalmologist who desires to join a well-established, multi-specialty team of ophthalmologists and optometrists. The ideal candidate seeks a partnership track and will be able to maintain a busy clinical practice with utmost professionalism. Our group highly values its autonomy and excellent work-life balance for the partners and staff. Call duties are minimal, as we cover our clinic patients only (no hospital call). In addition, our clinics close at 1pm every Friday afternoon. We pride ourselves on maintaining long-term relationships with our patients, who are not co-managed by outside providers. REA's managerial and supporting staff are experienced and exceptional, with a highly efficient billing department and well-trained technicians. The provider group includes four ophthalmologists and two optometrists. Subspecialty care for cornea and refractive laser surgery is currently offered.
We provide compassionate care to our patients at three office locations in the Richmond area. Surgeries are performed at the Stony Point Surgery Center, the largest independent ambulatory surgery center in Virginia.
Richmond offers a rich history, vibrant art scene, and outstanding culinary options, and was recently ranked as the best place to live in Virginia according to a 2023 article by Travel + Leisure magazine. For outdoor enthusiasts, the central Virginia area offers easy travel to several lakes, Virginia Beach, and the Shenandoah Valley.
