Position:Full-Time Lecturer, Speech-Language Pathology (12-Month)
Effective Date:On or about July 7, 2025 (1-Year Appointment, Renewable)
Salary Range:The Full-Time Lecturer (12-Month) classification salary is $85,524 to $182,532 per year (paid as 12 monthly payments). The anticipated hiring range is $107,000 to $110,268 per year. Salary offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in communication sciences and disorders (CSD), speech-language pathology (SLP), or speech and hearing sciences
Hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC- SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
Licensed or eligible to get licensed as a speech-language pathologist in California.

At least five-year clinical experience post completion of Master's degree
Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population, including Black/African American, Latine/x, Native American/Indigenous, low-income, first-generation, and minoritized students

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with a variety of speech and language disorders, including developmental and acquired communication disorders
At least five years of experience working in preschools and K–12 education settings with individuals with developmental speech, language, social communication, or literacy disorders
Experience working with clients/patients from diverse backgrounds
Experience in supervising SLP graduate interns with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Experience of successfully working with populations demographically and/or socioeconomically similar to the CSULB student body (Demographics )
Experience mentoring or supporting students with minoritized identities or experience using inclusive and culturally relevant teaching strategies in a diverse classroom

Duties:
Manage and carry caseload of developmental speech, language, communication, and literacy disorders as a practicing clinician, such as 1) conducting speech, oral and written language assessments using a variety of standardized instruments and appropriate informal measures, and 2) Implementing ethical and evidence-based treatment programs for clients in line with educational and clinical necessity
Supervise SLP graduate students' on-campus clinical practicum (including developmental/pediatric and acquired/neurogenic clinics) and SLPA interns
Teach courses in SLP undergraduate and graduate program as needed (including internship classes) [Mode of instruction may include in-person, hybrid, online, and/or any combination thereof.]
Collaborate with the faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to assure successful growth in total clients and goal achievement around student learning outcomes
