Full Time live-out Nanny required for a loving Brooklyn Heights family with a toddler (son born December 2023) starting ASAP (January 2025). Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their son in an active, engaging, and age-appropriate way.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone who is warm, trustworthy and who above all loves kids! The ideal candidate is experienced with toddler milestones and development and is a responsible, proactive and patient individual. Strong communication and common sense/good judgment are key to this role. Someone confident navigating public transport (subway) with a toddler is required (consistent commute to Mom's work/creche in Tribeca is expected). The family is looking for someone to grow alongside the family in a long term partnership.
Location: Brooklyn Heights, NY
Start date: January, 2025
Days/times: Family open to 35-40 guaranteed hours/week: General availability between 9am - 5pm is required and as needed cover for later days is desired (work events, date nights). Flexibility is essential as Mom's work hours will fluctuate within regular working hours.
No consistent travel or OT is expected with this role.

Conditions: $28 - $33 per hour* plus unlimited metrocard, sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays *dependent on experience and other considerations

A minimum of 3 years experience as a nanny (5-10 years preferred)A well-suited demeanor for working with toddlersExceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligenceProven tenure with multiple families including excellent referencesEducation or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and developmentAn open and flexible schedule Ability to complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc)A second language is desirable, however the family will consider all qualified and strong candidates.
