Full-time Nanny required for a Greenwich Village family with two children (ages 2 & 5), starting January 2025. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care with both children in combination with general household duties for the family. The parents are looking for a long term partnership and full time hours are expected regardless of future school schedules (both children will be in school full time from Fall 2025). The ideal candidate is someone who has energy for busy days, truly flexible (date nights, extra evenings/weekends as requested) and willing to communicate openly with the family. To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone detail oriented, proactive and organized with their time during school hours/nap time (including daily meal prep/cooking for the children, and general tidying/organizing of all children's areas) with the knowledge that household duties will evolve as the children grow. The candidate should be open to summers in Hamptons (live in M-F). A driver's license would be ideal for the family (no city driving is expected). Someone who loves to cook would be a valuable asset to this family!
Location: Greenwich Village, NYC
Start date: January 2025
Days/times: Monday to Friday guaranteed 35-40 hrs a week depending on candidate preference. Typical hours will be 11.00am - 7.00pm, but some flexibility as needed for holidays and sick days, etc. An earlier start will be required if parents need assistance with school dropoff (8am start) or on non-school days (9am start) as both parents work. Summer live-in Monday through Friday in the Hamptons as needed (generally a week here and there, not all summer)
Children: Two Children - son (born Dec 2019) and daughter (born May 2022). Daughter is at school mornings only through Summer 2025, and will be in full days from Fall 2025.
Conditions: $32 - $36 per hour* plus unlimited monthly Metro card, sick/personal days, public holidays and three weeks paid leave per year. Family open to providing healthcare stipend for the perfect candidate.
