Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Needed in Joliet, IL Job Description: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Joliet, IL. This role is pivotal for providing expert speech and language therapy services within a school environment, aiming to improve communication skills and academic performance of students. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, knowledgeable in the field of speech therapy, and dedicated to fostering a supportive educational setting. Responsibilities: Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs. Work collaboratively with school staff and parents to enhance student learning and communication abilities. Regularly assess student progress and adapt therapy plans accordingly. Qualifications: Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Current Illinois state licensure as an SLP. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric clients is highly beneficial. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and educators.
