In this role, the Fundraising & Workforce Development Intern will gain experience in prospecting new donors and community fundraisers, project management, and supporting workforce development initiatives. The Fundraising & Workforce Development Intern will support the Forging Foundation's mission to engage academia and industry in meaningful partnerships to attract students to careers in the forging supply chain.
Primary Responsibilities: Assist with planning and execution of special events and activities Coordinate workforce opportunities for companies and schools Assist with donor communications and fundraising campaigns Donor database management using FIA's CRM platform Draft correspondence, reports, proposals and donor appeals Assist with mailings, filing, and special projects as needed Conduct research on potential donors, strategic partners, and schools Qualifications: Interest in learning about the fundraising and workforce development side of a non-profit Experience with Microsoft Office computer programs Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong writing skills Ability to work independently Excellent communication skills and able to succeed in a team environment Position Details: $20/hour (20-30 hours per week) with start/end dates mutually agreed upon In-person
