Parker Staging has been in business since 2009. We offer home staging and furniture rental for sellers seeking top dollar on their real estate investments. We recently opened a store named BackStage that sells our staging furniture, art and decor that we can no longer use for our home staging projects. BackStage is open to the public and rapidly increasing in popularity with bargain hunters and DIYers. We are seeking a professional full-time Store Manager for BackStage that will help us take the store to the next level.
Your primary duties will include overseeing the daily operations of BackStage, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively. Additionally, you will be developing promotional material, marketing strategies and hiring and training staff. The Store Manager will manage the flow of inventory in and out of the store and be responsible for meeting monthly sales goals. You also will be responsible for managing store set-up, developing and executing marketing strategies, posting items for sale on social media and other websites. The Store Manager will maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures. You will coordinate and manage appointments and deliveries within and outside of standard store hours. Applicants must be professional and committed to ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Experience with furniture repair and restoration would be helpful. The Store Manager will develop and manage pricing strategies, and return policies, determine additional sales promotions needed and authorize clearance sales. The Store Manager should study customer trends to identify customer needs and preferences.
The ideal candidate must be self motivated, and self-managed. Creativity and a background in customer service or retail management are required. Must be comfortable with developing high-level business ideas as well as executing them and monitoring their effectiveness by tracking revenue and expenses. You must have strong organizational skills and experience managing at least one other person. Physically you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
