SSU is currently recruiting for a Future Threat Analyst to support United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) within the Concept Development and Integration Division in the J59. This opportunity is for an on-site / office position and is contingent upon contract award.

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Experimentation Branch to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies, methodologies, and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures which could affect Special Operations Forces (SOF), missions and activities. Plan, collect, process, analyze, produce, and disseminate information of intelligence value relevant to SOF. Produce threat assessments, conduct research to identify new and developing threats and sources, and update customer on the projected changes within the future threat landscape. Work closely with other team members to identify capabilities and vulnerabilities of targeted systems, identify trends, patterns, key nodes, and highlight their relationships to the targeted systems. Liaise with team members to determine information needs, formats requirements, security classifications, and deliverable timelines. Participate in EXFOR-related forums, working groups, external assemblies (i.e., conferences, technology shows, etc.). Establish and/or maintain contact with HQ USSOCOM J2, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and other Department of Defense (DoD), Joint Staff, Military Service and SOF Component Intelligence entities. Travel up to 25% of the time on a monthly basis. Prepare reports, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution. 10 years' intelligence staff experience (within the last 12 years) in DOD threat, indications and warning, open-source collection, analysis, and production from tactical through operational/Combatant Command (COCOM). 4 years of experience using intelligence automated information, intelligence, and communication systems, tools, databases, and programs (such as Analyst Notebook or Palantir). 5 years' experience researching and integrating current intelligence and operations to develop scenarios, studies and analysis. 3 years' total experience in USSOCOM assigned organizations, as military, Government civilian or contractor. 3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag-level command staff. 5 years' experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint, Access, Excel, etc.).
