We are looking for a " GCP data architect" ( with Networking background) for our leading Global IT Service Provider, based out of the Irving- Texas Qualifications Proficiency in Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies and Cloud data Architecture- GCP Strong understanding of database design principles and data normalization Proficiency in data modeling, ETL development, and SQL query optimization, with experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases Experience in creating Data Architecture Strategy for building reusable Data Products with Self-Service capability Experience in defining Data Architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin or similar tools Knowledge in GCP services for data storage, processing, and analytics, with hands-on experience in building scalable data architectures Responsibilities As a Data Architect, you will define the data requirements and structure for the application You will model and design the application data structure, storage, and integration Your typical day will involve analyzing data needs, collaborating with teams, and designing efficient data models and storage solutions You will also be responsible for ensuring data integrity and security, as well as optimizing data performance and scalability Join our team and contribute to the success of our data-driven projects Architect and design scalable data solutions on GCP to support various data product initiatives Create Solution Outline and Macro Design to describe end to end product implementation in Data Platforms including, System integration, Data ingestion, Data processing, Serving layer, Design Patterns, Platform Architecture Principles for Data platform Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data architecture designs Define, Develop and maintain data architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance Design and optimize data models, ETL pipelines, and data integration processes to support efficient data workflows and analytics Implement data management strategies for structured and unstructured data, including data partitioning, indexing, and optimization techniques Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance data architecture capabilities and drive innovation Contribute to reusable components asset accelerator development to support capability development Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers, analysts, and other team members to promote knowledge sharing and skill development Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure high availability and reliability Define layered architecture and lead technical teams - presentation layer, data layer, business layer, etc Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data architecture, cloud computing, and big data analytics Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulations Optimize data performance and scalability Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data architecture
