At GE Vernova Research, Scientists, Engineers, and Technicians work to provide GE's businesses and strategic partners with technical innovations for their future generation products, processes, and services. Our Interns work side by side with experts in aerodynamics, heat transfer, manufacturing, materials, and mechanical systems completing challenging technical projects applying their theoretical knowledge to real-life technical problems and developing skills in a cutting-edge research environment. Opportunities for networking and showcasing project accomplishments are also part of the program.Job DescriptionQualifications:Current enrollment in a Ph.D. program, seeking a technical degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field in an accredited college or universityPermanent legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this role.Minimum GPA 3.0 / 4.0 scale.Desired Characteristics:Experience with systems modeling of thermodynamics cycles and/or energy systemsOr experience with multi-physics simulations including computational fluid dynamics (CFD)Or experience with laboratory testing in high pressure and/or temperature environments; knowledge of data acquisition methods and instrumentationExcellent academic performance with technical research orientationAbility to adapt to change and willingness to be flexible in a global and multi-disciplinary team environmentStrong interpersonal skills, initiative, and organization; demonstrated ability working with a teamStrong problem-solving skills, thorough attention to detailThepayrange for this position is $1,000-$2,000 USD weekly.The specificweekly rateoffered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.GE Vernova provides travel reimbursement and housing stipend for qualified Interns.Additional Job DescriptionAdditional InformationCompensation GradeOTHSALGE offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
