We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented accountant to join our Accounting team.
The General Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial operations of the company.
This role involves reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable, managed by another team member, and working closely with the Controller.
The General Accountant is crucial in maintaining the financial health of Whole Latte Love and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Additionally, the General Accountant will be auditing and performing analytics on various parts of the company's financials and transaction processes, adding an interesting and dynamic aspect to this position.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries Perform daily data entry and ensure the integrity of financial information Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Prepare financial reports and statements Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash accounts Support the Controller with audits, budgeting, and forecasting activities Conduct financial analysis and provide insights for decision-making Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting or related field Proven experience as an Accountant or similar position Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently Strong communication and interpersonal skills High level of integrity and reliability CPA certification is a plus but not required Experience with financial reporting and analysis Knowledge of multi-currency accounting is a plus
