Wolf Lake Services is seeking a highly qualified professional to join our team in support of the US Coast Guard (USCG) Multidiscipline Healthcare Services. The primary focus of this position is to provide medical services to all eligible beneficiaries within the capabilities normally granted to a General Dentist. The General Dentist shall meet or exceed the industry standards in accordance with established principles, practices, and ethics and shall reflect the degree and care, skill and learning expected of a reasonably prudent healthcare provider in the Dental profession in the state of their practice. This position is contingent upon award. Core Duties: Review and record patients detailed dental history, perform tests and examinations.Provide diagnostic, preventive, restorative, endodontic, and periodontal initial therapy services.Create fixed and removable prosthetics and provide oral surgery services.Perform case consultation with referring Dental Officer.Treatment plan recommendation and review.Participate in the Health Services Quality Improvement Program.Provide instruction to clinic staff on an ad hoc basis.Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur in addition to regularly scheduled appointments.Perform procedures necessary for relief of dental pain, swelling, and infection that may endanger the health of the patient.Repair dental prostheses where lack of such repair would cause the patient suffering.Travel Requirements: 0 - 10%
Job Requirements: A diploma from an accredited school of Dentistry.A current unrestricted active license to practice Dentistry from one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U. S. Virgin Islands.Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certification.A minimum of two (2) years recent experience.Maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI), or the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).No adverse information on file with the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB).
