Wolf Lake Services is seeking a highly qualified professional to join our team in support of the US Coast Guard (USCG) Multidiscipline Healthcare Services. The primary focus of this position is to provide medical services to all eligible beneficiaries within the capabilities normally granted to a General Dentist. The General Dentist shall meet or exceed the industry standards in accordance with established principles, practices, and ethics and shall reflect the degree and care, skill and learning expected of a reasonably prudent healthcare provider in the Dental profession in the state of their practice. This position is contingent upon award. Core Duties: Review and record patients' detailed dental history, perform tests and examinationsProvide diagnostic, preventive, restorative, endodontic, and periodontal initial therapy servicesCreate fixed and removable prosthetics and provide oral surgery servicesPerform case consultation with referring Dental OfficerTreatment plan recommendation and reviewParticipate in the Health Services Quality Improvement ProgramProvide instruction to clinic staff on an ad hoc basisProvide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur in addition to regularly scheduled appointmentsPerform procedures necessary for relief of dental pain, swelling, and infection that may endanger the health of the patientRepair dental prostheses where lack of such repair would cause the patient sufferingTravel Requirements: 0 - 10%
Job Requirements: A diploma from an accredited school of DentistryA current unrestricted active license to practice Dentistry from one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin IslandsCurrent Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificationA minimum of two (2) years recent experienceMaintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI), or the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP)No adverse information on file with the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB)
