General Maintenance Technician
Starting Pay Rate: $17/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 (applicable to new hires and rehires who have not been employed within one year from their last day of employment)

As a General Maintenance Technician, you'll have the opportunity to engage with guests who have arrived to enjoy the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains and all the incredible family-friendly attractions located throughout the area.
Job Summary:
In this vital role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. Your primary duties will include executing engineering projects, attending to guest calls, conducting blitzes, and carrying out preventative maintenance tasks under the guidance of resort leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute general support tasks such as painting, caulking, and repairing wall damages to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs on plumbing fixtures, including toilets, tubs, Jacuzzis, showers, faucets, and sinks, as well as unclogging as necessary.
- Proficiently reset breakers, GFCIs, replace bulbs, and determine available voltage using appropriate tools.
- Install or replace TVs, conduct basic troubleshooting, and program remotes and electronic devices.
- Actively participate in the procurement and inventory process to ensure materials and tools are readily available for maintenance work.
- Utilize and navigate resort operation devices and software effectively (e.g., HotSOS and other applicable tools).
- Safely operate hand tools, electrical, and battery-powered tools required for the job.
- Work confidently with ladders, scaffolds, and lifts, while adhering to appropriate PPE guidelines.
- Strictly adhere to safety guidelines and practices to ensure a secure working environment.
- Perform any other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications:
- EPA and CPO Certification preferred.
- 1+ year of facilities maintenance or handyman experience.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Driver's License to drive company golf carts.
- Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
