Delta Air Lines Human Resources team is initiating a multi-year HR transformation. We are looking for an experienced leader to join our HR Systems Operations team in our Atlanta office. This role will partner to support the development and execution of our HR technology portfolio strategy across the service areas of Talent and Performance Management, Career and Learning Development, Talent Acquisition, and Onboarding.
This role will lead a team of "Solution Partners" who are aligned by the "HR services areas" listed above and are responsible for working closely with their counterparts in IT to develop, support and maintain the underlying systems necessary to run our business.
The HR Centers of Excellence (COE) that "own" the "HR services areas" listed above are the "customers" of the GM of HR Systems Operations (Talent). Accordingly, a successful candidate will have a proven track record of building and maintaining strong working relationships focused on business goals and outcomes.
Primary Functions: Partner with HR COE Leaders and their teams as well as Delta IT Professionals and External Vendor Partners to deliver technology-enabled HR solutions.Understand the business problems and goals of the HR COEs and anticipate their evolving needs.Remain fluent on emerging HR Best Practices and the evolving landscape of technology options required to achieve world-class results.Develop and lead a high performing team of HR "Solution Partners". Apply leadership and managerial skills to ensure the team continually operates at peak effectiveness.Nurture and develop a collaborative working relationship with the HR Project Management (PMO) for the purposes of coordinating project activities and related initiatives.Collaborate with Delta IT to align, implement, and innovate on a technology enablement strategy that empowers Solution Partners with increased flexibility to execute simple configurations at the product presentation and application layers, while staying in compliance, adhering to process and ensuring quality.What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) 5 to 10 years of meaningful experience in the strategic development and maintenance of technology-enabled HR solutions in the service areas of Talent and Performance Management, Career and Learning Development, Talent Acquisition, and Onboarding.Experience in successfully growing, developing, and leading a team of experienced HRIS/technical consulting professionals.Demonstrated ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced, dynamic, global work environment.Ideal candidate will have participated in a leadership role on one or more global scale HR Transformation projects wherein the primary technology was cloud-based. (SAP SuccessFactors experience is significantly preferred).Experience working in a variety of project methodologies (e.g., Agile) and process engineering disciplines (e.g., Six Sigma).Ability to work independently & within a team environment.Demonstrated experience communicating financial and technical concepts and processes using clear, simple language and visuals.Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.Bachelor's degree in a related field.Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) HR Field (Generalist), HR Business Partner or HR COE experience.Professional Consulting experience (management, functional/technical).Hands-on Implementation experience SAP SuccessFactors Talent Suite (multiple cycles, industries, and environments).Deep understanding of HR practices and employee experience (hire-to-retire).Industry / Technical Certifications.Benefits and Perks to Help You Keep Climbing Our culture is rooted in a shared dedication to living our values – Care, Integrity, Resilience, and Servant Leadership – every day, in everything we do.
