General Manager About Transdev: Based near Chicago, Transdev is the largest private-sector operator of multiple modes of transit in North America, including bus, rail, streetcar, paratransit, and shuttle services. Overview The General Manager provides a proactive management approach and will have overall responsibility for operations, including the delivery of safe and reliable service, employee oversight, management of contract assets, risk management, client and customer satisfaction, and financial performance. This position is based in Everett, WA.

Responsibilities: Proven relationship builder with employees, the client, union partners, and the community. Sets commercial and operational strategic direction for the business unit team and leads the management team and employee workforce to achieve corporate/property safety goals, service performance, and financial objectives. Responsible for identifying and developing business growth opportunities. Responsible for optimizing the return on assets deployed within the business to include vehicle scheduling, maintenance, and performance management. Responsible for identifying and analyzing KPIs to maintain positive results. Ensures services are provided within budget and action plans are developed and implemented to improve operational efficiencies. Responsible for determining and delivering business unit budget. Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and compliance with Transdev corporate safety standards. Responsible for all staff management, development, and training in liaison with the corporate team as appropriate. Ensures effective environmental compliance and sustainability management. Provides complete and accurate data collection, compilation, analysis, and reporting. Other duties as required. Transdev is proud to offer: The salary range for this opportunity is $110,000-130,000. Attractive benefits package, including 401(k) with company contribution, medical, dental, vision, Life AD&D. 40 hours of sick time. 2 weeks of vacation and 8 paid holidays. Qualifications: Education: Completion of a four (4) year college degree in a relevant field is desirable, although appropriate education obtained through alternative methods will be considered. Experience in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation, or related field or equivalent business experience preferred. Field and years of experience required: Minimum of 10 years as a successful General Manager of a project of a similar size and scope, preferred or proven ability to grow and adapt quickly with proven performance and expertise in providing high-quality service to the community. Labor relations experience. Skills and Knowledge Required: Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws. Thorough knowledge of ordinances and regulations underlying the transit operation. Requires 3-5 years of recent and relevant direct experience managing all aspects of a para-transit and fixed-route service. Prior experience working with collective bargaining agreement. Thorough knowledge of the methods of operation of the transit system's staff and operational departments. Ability to build solid and maintain strong working relationships with clients. Ability to manage cost control and financial budget. Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Understanding of technology, apps, Wi-Fi, and understanding of transportation technology. Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to influence people at all levels of the organization. Ability to organize and perform work efficiently, strong attention to details. Ability to work effectively with union partners, including labor grievances and negotiations.
