We are currently seeking a General Manager based at our Pleasant Hill, CA.
Role and Responsibilities:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations within the service center.
This includes coordinating between project managers, installers, and print operations.
Supervising a team that installs, services, and repairs barricades and/or graphics.
Manage employees on a daily basis and provide guidance whenever needed.
Understand annual budget, re-projections and monthly projections.
Operate under these budgetary guidelines and review P&L statements with Regional Managers to ensure best practices are being met.
Generate sales revenue by adding new customers as well as upselling current customers.
Perform and can teach semi-skilled tasks in connection with installation, teardown and modifications of barricade and graphics.
Review plan sets and survey future job sites to provide field measurements for barricade and graphics.
Conduct or oversee field inventory monthly.
Execute and ensure that all administrative duties, including processing and completing work orders, employee timesheets and new hire paperwork, are completed timely and accurately.
Hire, train and motivate all new personnel with a focus on maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and safety.
Ensure all new direct report employees receive orientation and introduction to company field procedures.
Review and sign off on all Human Resource or payroll requests and conduct annual reviews for all direct report employees at their service center location.
Responsible for care, inventory and allocation of tools, uniforms and materials provided to employees.
Responsible for overall care and cleanliness of fleet vehicles, preventative maintenance and expense logs at their service center.
Facilitate strong relationships with clients by engaging in proactive communication and providing exceptional customer service.
Oversee and manage with their project manager all requirements of all jobs to ensure proper execution.
Oversee and participate in implementation of training programs for employees, including OSHA, DOT and graphics training.
Scheduling of work and appropriate workforce to ensure efficiency and controlling expenses.
Work with the procurement team to purchase and inventory all stock items, including tools, building materials, and cleaning supplies in order to achieve all installations at a high level while maintaining their budget.
Manage the repair, cleaning and inventory controls of all barricade panels and accompanying hardware.
Protect and secure all company assets on a daily basis.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines and dynamic priorities.
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read construction plans and store elevation drawings.
Ability to operate current software programs with proficiencies in Google Platforms, Microsoft Office Products as well as learn and become proficient on proprietary Boston Retail Solutions Programs.
Ability to take instruction and use pre-established guidelines, experience and judgment to accomplish tasks.
5+ years working experience in the field of retail or commercial construction management leading teams and/or a bachelor's degree in business, project management or building construction technology.
A valid driver's license from state of residence and clean driving record per company standard is a requirement.
Maintaining a valid DOT medical card is a requirement.
Compensation: This position has a starting range of $110,000 annually - $125,000 annually.
