We're looking for an exceptional general manager to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be excited to work in the home design field with a focus on sales, marketing and logistics.
The general manager is responsible for overseeing the management of Kurtz Collection's operations and the development of employees. The general manager must be committed to establishing and maintaining adherence to company policies and procedures and providing for a comfortable and inclusive work environment. The general manager is responsible for all retail sales including inventory, marketing, store operations/logistics and salespeople. The general manager will develop forecasts and track performance against established goals.
Responsibilities
Manage the Sales and Marketing efforts of Kurtz Collection across all markets. This includes personnel, systems, performance tracking, pricing, photography, marketing plans, and operations support.
In coordination with the CEO manage New Moon Rugs operations for merchandising, logistics, and receiving.
Coordinate all efforts with New Moon Rugs products and strategies.
Manage the inventory of the Kurtz collection to be current for market targets and be within established value limits.
Manage the merchandising and display of merchandise in all retail store spaces and online, keeping in coordination with seasonal and sales focuses.
Ensure the sales staff is effectively trained in product and process, and the established procedures are documented and followed.
Ensure that Kurtz Collection's social media presence is vibrant, current, and impactful.
Oversee all personnel management processes (recruiting, hiring, onboarding, reviews, terminations) being sure that every employee has clear objectives and is provided the tools and support to achieve them.
Update and implement process and procedures for all daily warehouse activities, and ensure they are followed. Hold the warehouse manager accountable for all deliverables.
Direct Operational tactics to deliver effective results for the company strategy provided by ownership.
Provide oversight and approval for payroll, accounts payable, and month-end reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, finance or related field is preferred.
Three to Five years of management experience in retail sales or a related field.
Previous knowledge of retail store operations, sales concepts or merchandising.
Proven ability to manage projects and learn to master the tasks at hand.
Proven sales lead generation experience preferred.
Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence.
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers and coworkers.
Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about home industries.
Ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes.

Schedule
40 hour work week – Monday-Friday 9:30-5:30pm.
This is a salary based position and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
