General Orthopedic Surgeon - Fruitland, IDPractice HighlightsSaint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician-led 500+ provider multispecialty group seeking a general orthopedic surgeon to join a busy orthopedic practice in Fruitland, Idaho. The team is supported by two Orthopedic Sports Medicine physicians and three Advanced Practice Providers.
Support:Hospital-based imaging services include a 24/7 radiology department with in-house coverage for general Radiology and CT; after hours coverage for Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine; MRI; Comprehensive Breast Center; and DR image capture technology.
RequirementsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degreeSuccessful completion of accredited residencyBoard certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) - or obtain within 3 yearsObtain Idaho & Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC-Ontario and SAMC- NampaValid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEAWillingness to take general orthopedic callCommunityLocated across from each other on the Snake River, where it forms the Idaho-Oregon border, Ontario, Oregon and Fruitland, Idaho serve as the retail, service, and medical center for 70,000 people within a 20-mile radius. Interstate 84 and Oregon Highways 20/26, 30, and 201 all pass through Ontario. Ontario/Fruitland is one hour from Boise, Idaho. The Boise Airport (BOI) is the principal airport serving the region. It is a major commercial airport, where several major airlines provide daily flights to medium and large cities in all directions. Schedule:
