General Pediatrics - Child Abuse Pediatrician University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF09914 The Department of Pediatrics, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital is recruiting a full-time academic Child Abuse Pediatrician to join the Department of Pediatrics Health Science Series in the Division of General Pediatrics. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will join the current Medical Director of the UCLA Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect team in providing consultations in a busy regional Level 1 Trauma Center serving Southern California. The candidate will be expected to provide clinical expertise in the evaluation of children and adolescents with concerns for abuse and/or neglect in a variety of clinical sites. Duties will include patient care, teaching of fellows and residents, and participation in research or other scholarly endeavors that will lead to academic promotion. The candidate will work collaboratively with local child welfare agencies, and have the opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary committees including the county death review committee.
