General Psychiatrist Join our leading state-of-the-art psychiatric facility in Des Moines, IA, established in 2021.

This is a full-time opportunity as a staff psychiatrist with a focus on adult patients within in-patient and out-patient settings.

Salary: DOE per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide daily care and management of assigned in-patient and PHP settings.Conduct patient rounding and manage admissions efficiently.Engage actively in treatment team meetings and discussions.Develop personalized treatment plans for patients.Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.Assist in the development of program philosophies, goals, and objectives that are consistent with those of the administration.Minimum Position Qualifications: MD or DO degree required.Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.Valid state medical license, or willingness to obtain licensure in Iowa.Experience in a psychiatric setting, handling in-patient or outpatient care.Proven commitment to providing high-quality, empathetic care to patients.Knowledge of modern psychiatric methods and ethical standards in patient care.Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing a diverse patient demographic including adolescents and adults.Familiarity with PHP settings and the unique demands of such environments.Leadership experience or qualities beneficial for team growth and mentorship roles.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with medical staff and patient families.Interest in participating in clinical trials or research in alignment with facility objectives.Previous involvement in community mental health initiatives.Skills: Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.Strong empathetic and interpersonal skills.Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic, changing environment.Strong team collaboration and communication abilities.Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.Mastery in crisis intervention techniques.Benefits: Competitive base salary with potential for bonuses.Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision).Generous paid time off and allowance for CME.Matching 401(k) plan and employee stock purchase options.Relocation assistance and medical education loan repayment help, if applicable.Commencement bonus to kickstart your new role.
