Position: General Sales Manager Position Summary Responsible for driving market sales performance through motivation, training, coaching and coordinating. This position provides leadership to the sales team in order to meet individual and collective goals. General Sales Managers are detailed, organized and inspiring leaders that set the tone for the market. Responsibilities Meet or exceed company revenue goals for assigned market Create and facilitate regular and ad hoc sales trainings Plan and host individual and group sales events (min. of 1 group event & 1 week of partner knocking monthly) Establish individual and collective goals - weekly, monthly, annual Identify and provide individual coaching to project managers regularly and as necessary Provide project manager accountability through individual planning and communication Coordinate creative incentive events to maintain motivation amongst team Assist project managers with sales strategies and quotes Assist in recruiting new project managers Ensure new hires complete training curriculum within 30 days Contribute to quarterly and annual project manager reviews Escalate performance and behavioral issues to management Perform 40+ hours of work per week in office, on job site or in a training environment, with standard working hours that consist of 8 AM - 5 PM Key Daily Tasks Morning motivation/communication to chat Review of performance drivers (lead management, collections, etc.) and address Execute sales activity (sales event, knocking, training, etc.) Frequent productivity check-ins to chat Progress calls with new hires and/or PMs that are off pace ($65,000 gross rev quota) Evening recap of daily performance to chat Key Weekly Tasks Prepare content and lead weekly team meeting Review team and individual performance to-date for the month Communicate team and individual performance to-date to manager Plan daily sales events and incentives for following week and communicate accordingly Attend weekly L10 meeting Basic Qualifications Advanced knowledge of sales concepts and principles Minimum two (2) years relevant work experience Proven leadership experience Experience training teams Ability to motivate Preferred Qualifications Expert level sales knowledge Knowledge of industry-related practices and processes Demonstrated ability to motivate teams to achieve goals Appetite to learn and communicate new systems, skills and processes Ability to plan and organize meetings Experience related to industry-specific estimating Demonstrated ability to multitask Travel Requirements 5-10% Compensation Commensurate to experience
