Details of the offer

-Organize digitized old geologic paper logs and files in the Geology vault. -Determine rock specific gravity of old core samples. Create a list of the results. -Identify and make a list of all drill holes in our Torque database which location in the ground has been mined out.-Help organize the paper version of all recently drilled exploration and infill holes in their belonging folders and file them in the Geology vault.-Create a digital version of the file folders for the drill holes that were recently drilled. This digital version must include the same items as the paper file folders we have in the vault.-Help organize drill hole core boxes directory.-Help organize the Geology file directory. Folder numbers need to be added in the spreadsheet where documents are listed.-Create permanent tags for all drawers. -Assist the Geotechnical Engineer on his field activities (deploying prisms, structural mapping, etc.) -Assist Geologist log blasthole chip samples and high wall mapping.-Assist exploration geologists with RQD logging.Organize all survey data for drill holes and water wells.Create file folders for water wells. Documents in these folders must include:The list of planned wells for the campaign that each well belongs toA copy of the map showing where this well is located (planned location and final location), showing Township, Range and Section.A copy of the ADWR Drilling Permit.A copy of the Drillers log and Completion reports showing the ADWR "Received" stamp.A printed version of the original survey report generated by the GPS device that was used to shoot each well/hole.A picture of each completed well or piezometer hole, showing the electric panel, and well number.Make SOP of Mission QA/QC proceduresMake SOP on how to calculate Specific Gravity and Rock DensityLABELS FOR PRISMS.-Make a list of all prisms we currently have-Determine the set of prism names (suffixes).-Create a list of the next 100 prism names we will use in the future for each area (suffix)-Print labels for prisms using the sample label printerExperience Required:No previous experience required.Schedule:8-hour shiftMonday to FridayDuration:Requires at least a ten-week internship commitment between mid-May and mid-August.Duration:Temporary/ SeasonalWhy Apply?Excellent compensationChallenging, safe and rewarding workDevelopment of skills and relationships for a possible future career!Apply now!A core value of ASARCO LLC is "Safety First."
