Geriatrician- Cooley Dickinson Medical Group -Northampton, MACooley Dickinson Medical Group is seeking a Geriatrician to join our geriatric services in Northampton, MA . Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Geriatrics provides office-based consultation services for older adults at risk for or with complex chronic and age-related conditions. Consultation is done in the context of each individual's functional and psychosocial situation, taking into account their goals of care and wishes for the future.
This role will be responsible for
conducting in-depth health assessments and evaluating patient needs,providing pharmacological and non-pharmacological management for patients experiencing behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia,making appropriate cost-efficient referral decisions,in addition to the outpatient work, this role will perform inpatient geriatric consultations which include diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing follow up.The next member of our team will work in a multi-disciplinary inpatient team, to help oversee implementation of Age-Friendly Health System, and ongoing operations as well as measuring process & outcome measures.
This role is primarily located at Cooley Dickinson's Atwood Health Center, the practice shares a spacious facility with or is adjacent to many other Cooley Dickinson services, for a one-stop health and wellness destination including OBGYN, the Diabetes Center, Infectious Diseases, General Surgical Care, Hampshire Cardiovascular Associates, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Spine Medicine, and Integrated Behavioral Health, plus a lab/patient service center, Radiology & Imaging and Rehabilitation Services.
