About the Role: We are seeking a versatile GIS & CAD Specialist to take on the dual role of managing spatial data visualizations and overseeing CAD operations for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both GIS-based data management and CAD quality control, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain web-based spatial visualizations and dynamic data displays that communicate project progress, construction quality, and dam/life safety monitoring.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to design and edit data displays for rapid communication of construction quality, structural safety, and performance metrics.
Construct and maintain GIS ArcPro documents, managing source files such as geodatabases (GDBs), feature classes, rasters, and other spatial datasets.
CAD Supervision & Quality Control:Oversee the work of CAD Technicians, performing spot checks to ensure the accuracy and compliance of all CAD deliverables.
Ensure proper use of advanced CAD tools, including eTransmit/Packager, for the correct export and transmittal of digital model files, ensuring full functionality of layers, data files, and annotations.
Ensure that 3D digital CAD models are geospatially referenced to the project survey control, incorporating the correct horizontal and vertical datums.
Ensure compliance with A/E/C CAD standards (ERDC/ITL TR-19-7) and manage the inclusion of all required drawing elements as specified in project closeout documentation.
Data Integration & Automation:Work with the Project Manager to automate data updates and integrate field-collected spatial data into the system.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of visual analytics that utilize large datasets, demonstrating the ability to see the "bigger picture" and provide insights into project progress and performance.
