The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities of actionable insight-rich MIS.Responsibilities:Ensure that reporting and business intelligence Operational Reports are working, updated timely, and down time is communicated and minimized.Manage and execute on projects to implement new functionality and changes to reporting and BI tools - document business requirements, document testing requirements, assist in testing, and train end users.Create sophisticated Tableau Dashboards leveraging SQL data structures as a data source.Create and run queries for use in reporting and data analysis linking disparate data sources across Teradata, Enterprise Analytic Platform (EAP), SQL Server and Oracle platforms.Provide reporting and BI subject matter expertise, support and training to the Core Operations teams to enhance their skills and achieve, over time, increased self-sufficiency on their side in using basic and intermediate reporting and BI capabilities.Maintain and publish documentation of data and BI tools (user guides, models, metadata, etc.).Provide continuous improvement through the automation/streamlining report production.Qualifications:5 – 7 years of experience in building Tableau based operational dashboard/MIS.Additional experience in dashboard/reporting technologies (Power BI, SSRS, QlikView) is plusExperience in Python and PySpark is a plusExperience developing data models including data feeds, staging tables, and summary tables.Experience with report creation (including designing executive-level reports and dashboards) is required.Experience with development tools like Visual Studio and JIRA is highly desirable.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.The candidate should be a highly versatile individual with great attention to detail and dedication to high quality work.Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements with a limited level of direct supervision.Education:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
