Who You AreAs a Global Supply Manager on the Supply Chain Team, you will play a key role in developing the supply network for Sila's equipment sourcing.
You are detail oriented, technically proficient and have the desire to help build a growing supply chain.
In this role, you will drive the procurement and supplier performance of Sila's capital equipment suppliers.
You will be responsible to establish relationships with potential supplier partners for supplier selection, capital equipment procurement, and supplier management for scaling Sila's manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities and DutiesEstablish a supply network that delivers competitive advantage to Sila.
The position is responsible for strategic supplier sourcing and supplier management for scaling our manufacturing operations.Develop supplier relationship strategies, including (but not limited to) negotiating contracts, pricing negotiation, delivery schedule, performance management and governanceEnsure Sila and suppliers are aligned with technical and commercial requirements by working closely with Engineering, Legal, Quality Assurance, Finance, and ManufacturingInitiate and present cost savings opportunities both from supply chain negotiation and engineering design changesIdentify and recommend key new suppliers, perform new supplier evaluations and ongoing supplier auditsDevelop and manage key process indicators (KPIs) related to suppliers and drive formal supplier performance reviewsCreate RFQ packages, execute purchase orders and evaluate warranty claims to recover costs where applicableSupport the creation of new supply chain operating procedures and implement across the organizationKnowledge and Skill RequirementsBachelor's degree with 5+ years or Master's degree with 3+ years minimum experience in business, supply chain or engineering related to complex capital equipmentBackground in sourcing new products, establishing supplier relationships and scaling operations in a manufacturing settingExcellent negotiation and supplier performance management skillsKnowledge and experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Sage X3Self starter with demonstrated ability to develop and execute on new project conceptsFlexibility and willingness to travel internationally and domestically at least one week per month if requiredAdvanced level ability to read blueprints and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plusPhysical Demands and Working ConditionsFlexibility to travel internationally or domestically up to one week per month when requiredOperate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed locationComplete tasks in a noisy environmentRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingersStanding in a stationary position 50% of the timeWear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, respirator, and steel toe safety shoes when requiredMove long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of timeThe starting base pay for this role is between $109,000 and $167,000 at the time of posting.
The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills.
Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.
The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
