About the Role: We are looking for a Customs & Global Trade Specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for tasks related to export operations for U.S. Customs and other participating government agencies.
As part of the Gore Performance Solutions Global Trade Team, you will be responsible for executing international shipment processing in a timely and compliant manner.
Additionally, you will partner with our businesses, global trade associates, customs brokers, freight forwarders, stakeholders and leadership to develop processes, procedures, and efficiencies in our global trade work.
This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs. Pay and Benefits: $70,000 - $110,000 per year Factors considered in extending an offer within this pay range include (but not limited to) education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

More details are available at www.gore.com/careers/benefits Responsibilities: Create customs export documentation in compliance with regulations and other participating government agencies Coordinate logistics moves with freight forwarders for exports Evaluate shipping methods and delivery expectations to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments Maintain export records in accordance with federal recordkeeping requirements Perform audits and address corrective actions to ensure compliance with all regulatory export requirements Partner with business functions providing advice, guidance and recommendations regarding transportation mode, INCO Terms, etc.
to meet Supply Chain requirements Maintain, log and report export shipment related KPI's Keep up to date on global trade regulatory requirements Partner with other global trade import/export and compliance associates to improve trade processes Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year experience in international trade or logistics services OR minimum of 3 years of experience in international trade or logistics services Experience with ERP tools like SAP and Global Trade Management Systems (e.g.
E2 Open, Precision) Understanding of basic export requirements Demonstrated customer service mindset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to positively influence others Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Ability to use a risk-based approach to problem-solving Ability to travel up to 5% Desired Qualifications: Experience in researching to ensure customs compliance
This position requires access to export-controlled areas and information.
