We have an exciting opportunity for you!Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer I or II with our Underground Engineering department at our Goldrush operations. The successful candidate will Independently perform work which involves visual inspections of the underground mining activities to identify rock hazards, provide recommendations and monitor excavation performance.At Nevada Gold Mines, our vision is to be the world's most valued gold mining business by finding, developing, and operating the best assets with the best people. We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.Responsibilities:Independently perform work which involves visual inspections of the underground mining activities to identify ground hazards, provide recommendations and monitor excavation performance. Ensure adherence to the Ground Control standards and maintain the ground support QA/QC program, such as rockbolt pull-testing and strength testing of shotcrete and backfill. Utilize rock mechanics properties to design ground support as needed. Collect, analyze, and report on geotechnical monitoring data and maintain databases. Assist with ground control safety training programs. Provide support with geotechnical related projects, as necessary. The candidate will also periodically assist with geotechnical mapping underground and geotechnical core logging for specific drill programs. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:Minimum requirement: B.S.
